Placing an order


We're delighted if you're here, because that means you might be wanting to place an order - eeek!

After selecting items, please make sure, double and triple check, that the personalisation you've added is correct, as this is what we'll use to make your item. It is your responsibility to add the correct information here as it can't be changed afterwards. We may be able to amend your order within 24 hours of placing it, though it's not guaranteed - please email Similar with your address details, we'll only be able to use information that you add into the secure checkout process. We can't be held responsible for items being made incorrectly or items posted to the wrong address due to wrong information being entered.

When you place an order on the website you'll be guided through the secure checkout where you'll need to enter a valid method of payment which will be processed immediately. By placing an order you're agreeing to all of the above plus the questions you'll find over on our FAQ page.

Our wedding newspapers are in high demand and when you place an order, we're holding that slot exclusively for you. We offer a limited number of slots each month and once we've held a slot, that won't be offered to anyone else.


On placing an order, we reserve the time exclusively to work on your newspaper and after 48 hours have passed, we'll begin getting everything set up ready for when your first draft is due, whether that's in two weeks or two years. 


If you change your mind and would like to cancel your order, you'll need to let us know within 48 hours of placing it - after this time, we unfortunately won't be able to offer a refund as we'll have started to get your bespoke order ready.

We do however offer some other options:

Postponing your wedding

We know that sometimes plans do change and we're more than happy to rearrange your wedding newspapers for another date - whether you've got a new date, or not - we can help!

Wedding Insurance

If you do need to cancel your order, we are happy to provide a letter stating that we are unable to refund for you to be able to make a claim through your Wedding Insurance. 

Donating your newspapers to our chosen charity

We work with the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation - a wonderful charity organising and funding weddings for terminally ill couples.

Returns - faulty or incorrect items


We hope you never need to get in touch to return an item and we take great pride in every item that leaves our Crafty Lab. 


With every item on our website being handmade to order and personalised to your request, we don't accept returns due to a change of mind, or if something is incorrect because of an error when ordering....though we can help - please get in touch within 7 days of receiving it in the post.

We'd never let something leave The Crafty Lab if we wouldn't be happy receiving it, so please be assured your item will be a beauty. That being said, if you're truly unhappy with the quality, get in touch and we'll be more than happy to help. 

If you receive a faulty item, you will need to let us know within 14 days of receipt by sending an email to and we'll be able to help, repair or replace depending on the problem. (Please note this excludes wedding newspapers, read more below).

Wedding newspapers

During the editing phase there are plenty of opportunities to ensure perfection and it's your responsibility to ensure all details are correct and you're 100% happy. Including (but not limited to) spelling, grammar, typos, dates, spacing, layout, names, locations etc. Once you have given the green light to print, there isn't a way for us to amend anything and the draft you've approved will be the one you receive so we recommend taking your time when reading through drafts and even getting another pair of eyes to take a look.


When you receive your newspapers, we're sure you'll LOVE them! Though if you do spot a problem with either the content you have provided and need it correcting (eg, wrong dates, incorrect spelling of names etc) or grammar, spelling, or anything else that you didn't pick up before giving the green light to print then please get in touch within 7 days of receiving your order - the sooner the better. We can chat through the options available to you - we'll always try to help as much as we can and can offer a reduced re-printing rate.

If there is a problem with your wedding newspapers on our part, we'll ensure we rectify this as quickly as possible. Please let us know within 48 hours of receipt and we can help. After this time we're unable to take responsibility if we're unable to get a replacement to you before your wedding.
